Fashion & Model Porfolios
Ok, you're ready to create your Modeling portfolio.
All you have to do is contact your local photographer, set up a photo session, have prints made and put them in a book, right? WRONG!!!
Most photographers specialise in a particular field i.e. weddings family portraits etc. Your modeling portfolio should be photographed by someone who understands what modeling agencies are looking for, we can help you with choosing looks that best fit your personality and the type modeling you wish to pursue. Our Photography studio is located in Greenbank and we only use state of the art equipment, that's why we produce such high quality photographs.
You want your model portfolio to be professional, complete, and impressive when you show it. This is one of the single most important steps you'll take other than promotion so get it right!
In today's competitive commercial world your image is everything. As the saying goes "you only get one chance at making a first impression" no industry is more susceptible to this than modeling.
Your model portfolio should only contain WOW photographs because people will remember you only by your worst photograph. A good model portfolio could be the difference between working once a month and working everyday.
We can also include shots which may be considered commercial, fashion, casual, and editorial content. Ask us to help you with choosing looks that best fit your personality and the type modeling you wish to pursue.
You'll also want to include a good headshot (without makeup) and a good body shot (swimwear or tight-fitting clothing) especially if you plan to apply to those model markets.
It's much more effective to have 8 absolutely beautiful, perfectly shot photos in your portfolio than 100 mediocre ones.
There is NO type of modeling or photograph that you HAVE to do to be a model. You do NOT have to model swimwear. You certainly do not have to model lingerie, and you do not have to model anything that is in conflict with your cultural or religious beliefs. Certainly, the more that you are willing and able to do, the more opportunities that you will make available to yourself, and there is no legitimate modeling agency or photographer that will ever tell you otherwise.
A Model Portfolio studio session can take anywhere from 1 hr. to a full day depending on the number of images and styles you want.
We often do TFP/TFCD shoots so feel free to enquire.
